ABOUT THE ARTIST
I have been fortunate to have 2 simultaneous careers in visual art. One as a painter and the other as a medical illustrator. I began my medical illustration career in 1979. I have drawn in the operating room over 6000 pediatric cardiac surgeries. In addition I have done over 500 medical illustrations for other types of surgery. The carbon dust technique is what I prefer to use for publication.
My first solo show was in 1977 at the University of Washington Women's Cultural Center. I have been very fortunate to have my paintings represented by the Woodside/Braseth Gallery since 1990.
